
BIOGRAPHY

Ms.Eva Yufei Chen currently works as a music instructor at Mandeville Conservatory of Music and as a freelance accompanist in Singapore. Before moving to Singapore, she was a ballet accompanist at Yantra Dance and attended the Fine Art performance at Bozar in Belgium. She has taught piano, aural training, composition, music theory, and composition.

Ms. Eva graduated from the National Taipei University of Education with a degree in music education and music performance in 2018. She also received a Master's in Music Performance from Koninklijke Conservatorium Brussel in 2020. During her studies, she has collaborated with numerous musicians in the world and performed country by country.

With a warm and approachable teaching style, she is popular among students who appreciate her patience and passion. Ms.Eva is known for her patience and innovative teaching methods. Her students have performed exceptionally well in their ABRSM theory, practical exams, and international competitions under her guidance, achieving merits and distinctions. Her teaching extends beyond playing pieces and technique; she also introduces them to a diverse repertoire in different genres such as contemporary, movie soundtracks and pop. That way, students would not only be able to play the pieces accurately but would also have the ability to bring the pieces to life. Overall, Ms.Eva creates a positive learning environment where students can flourish and deepen their understanding of music.

As an active pianist and accompanist and continues to perform frequently throughout the community. She has already performed several chamber music by a Duo named <U and I>, a trumpet and piano duo under covi.d-19. Through those series of chamber music, she devoted herself to consoling people with music during hard times. Her debut single "Di mi amor" was released in 2019 and more music and publications are coming soon. ​
In addition to her professional engagements, Yu-Fei 's hobbies include travelling, cooking, outdoor activities like cycling, and learning languages. She aspires to speak five languages: English, Mandarin Chinese, and French.
